Just Answering Questions: The Second Coming
Time for a pre-inauguration Q & A! Submit your questions here.
NOTE AT 5:30 PM CST: I HAVE TO CLOSE QUESTIONS NOW! Thank you to everyone who sent one! I now have a LOT and need to stop new ones from coming so that it is manageable to answer the ones that I have. These are really great, thoughtful questions and I want to do them justice.
If you missed the chance to ask a question, come back next time! I’ll put out an alert beforehand so subscribers will know when the Q&A is coming. I feel bad cutting it off after seven hours, but it had to be done. The new article with answers will be up in the next couple days. Thanks again!

Are you turning and turning in the widening gyre, waiting for that rough beast slouching toward Washington DC to be reborn? Me too! That means it’s time for my subscriber Q & A, “Just Answering Questions!”
For those new to this feature, here’s how it works:
1) To ask a question, join as a paying subscriber, and post your question in the comments section below.
2) I will answer as many questions as I can in a separate article that will run a few days later. Sometimes I bundle up questions and focus on common themes.
3) The article with the answers in it will be open to everyone. In other words, you need to be a paying subscriber to submit a question, but not to read the Q & A.
I call this feature “Just Answering Questions” because there are a number of topics that, if I were to broach them out of the blue, would be like throwing a bomb into your inbox. If you’ve read my books, you know they cover disturbing ground. This way, you choose the topic, and hey, I’m just answering questions!
I will post my answers before the inauguration so that we’ll have something diverting to read during this stressful time. Feel free to ask me anything!
If you are already a paying subscriber, you are all set — you can submit a question in the comments section below!
If you’re not a paying subscriber, this is a great reason to become one. In addition to getting a personal response, your support keeps this newsletter going. I have kept my newsletter free and it will stay free. Voluntary paying subscribers make it possible for me to keep writing and for readers who cannot afford to pay to read everything. I am very grateful to paying subscribers and I offer this Q & A as a thank you!
Note: The last Q & A was so popular I had to shut it down eighteen hours later because I got so many questions. I’m planning to run this one the same way — get your questions in while you can!

Why do you live so far away ?
Love, Mom
No questions. Gratitude for your work. Thank you.
